Twenty one year-old Andreas Aigner will join the Red Bull Skoda Team for around ten rallies this year, despite his lack of experience at the wheel of a World Rally car.

In the spring of 2004, the Red Bull Drivers Search was organised to find the next rally star from either Germany, Austria or Switzerland. Armin Schwarz, Raimund Baumschlager, Walter Rohrl , Klaus Wicha and Timo Gottschalk were part of the jury in charge of choosing the best drivers in this field of young talents. Out of more than 300 candidates, only two drivers were chosen, including Andreas Aigner.

Aigner drove a Group N Mitsubishi Lancer during two seasons to gain more experience in the stages of many European races and four rounds of the World Rally Championship.

In 2006, Aigner will drive a Fabia WRC for the Red Bull Skoda Team. The young Austrian driver has an excellent opportunity to show his talent and will hope to do well, especially in the four rounds of the championship in which he already competed in the past.
