Zoom Kopecky back aboard the Zero Car

Having impressed the crowds on the Barum Rally Zlin last month, Skoda's brand-new Fabia Super 2000 will once more perform the vital Zero Car role on the Sanremo Rally in Italy this weekend.

The car will again be driven by up-and-coming Czech star Jan Kopecky, who has been one of Skoda Motorsport's trusted test drivers throughout the year.

The all-new Fabia S2000 is in the final stages of development, and the challenge of the famous Italian stages will help Skoda's engineers put the finishing touches to the Czech company's latest challenger. This will also give fans another chance to see this exciting new machine in action.

"We're satisfied with the car," said Kopecky during his last outing in the Czech Republic. "It's working perfectly."

The Zero Car passes through the stages just ahead of the first competing car, in order to check that the stage is safe to run.
