Rally action to begin in the heart of France
|
The 11th Rallye Coeur de France – the first IRC Supporter Event to be held in France – takes place this weekend from August 29-30.
The all-asphalt event is held in central France and was formed out of the union of three other events in 1998; it is now one of the country's leading national events.
The rally signed a deal to become one of the eight IRC Supporter Events on 14 March in Tours, and the scene is now set for a spectacular weekend of action.
In total, there will be 127.06 competitive kilometres, split into two days and 10 stages. Day One one gets underway from the centre of Tours at 16:30. After completing four stages, the cars will return to parc fermé.
On Saturday crews will contest six more stages starting from 10:30, split into three loops of two. The rally is due to finish at 18:24 with a prize-giving ceremony in the evening.
Crews registered for the IRC will have a chance to complete the recce for the event, and in total there are around 100 competitors registered to take the start on Friday.
