Alen eager to absorb some asphalt teachings
After forfeiting the previous Intercontinental Rally Challenge event on the island of Madeira for medical reasons, Anton Alen is another contender looking forward to a shot at the Barum Rally podium this week-end.

However, the young Finn is quite aware that this rally's asphalt characteristics will present some difficulties along the way.

"But I feel positive because last year we were in fourth position before an off-road incident forced us to retire on the ninth stage," he said.

"However, many stages have been modified and a few amongst them are now run in reverse, which is not especially good for us," recognized the Abarth Grande Punto driver.

"I still have a lot to learn on asphalt. Every kilometre covered is a little more experience gained," Alen wisely concluded.
